Our Project

Girija Balmandir

A residential home for street children and those begging on platforms and signals, whose parents lacked the resources to meet their basic needs.

0Children in Care

Many children from critical backgrounds, whose parents didn’t have enough resources to provide basic needs, lived on the streets and begged on platforms and signals. There was a recognized need to provide a home for such children who had nowhere to go — and thus came up the concept of starting a residential home, Girija Balmandir.

The shelter home serves the dual purpose of catering to children for a long term stay and also children staying for a transit period to be repatriated back immediately. In Girija Balmandir we have 34 kids.
